Meet Mal Bea

I've always hated using chemicals on my skin.

From when I was a child my Dad said to me "If you can't eat it, don't put it on your skin".

This stuck with me and from my teenage years I started making my own natural products - toothpaste, cleaners, moisturisers.

One thing I always struggled with was deodorant. I seemed to have been passed my mum's unlucky gene of constantly sweating, and no anti-perspirant, deodorant, or natural method seemed to help. I tried everything.

In 2020 I discovered a homemade recipe for deodorant, I tried it, it worked, but it still wasn't amazing. So I adjusted it, I added some things, changed some others, until eventually Bea Fresh was created.

I free-birthed my second daughter in 2024, and while enjoying the newborn cocoon, I noticed something.. despite not showering for 2-3 days, I didn't smell!

I asked my friend to try my deodorant, to see if it was just a fluke and two days later he called me "Mal, this is the best deodorant I've ever used!". He'd been filming in the middle of summer in central London all day, went home to bed and without showering went to the gym in the morning, came home and still didn't smell!

So that was it, it wasn't a fluke, I'd really created something amazing.

As someone, who'd struggled all their life with finding a reliable deodorant, I knew I had to share this with people. It was never my intention to start a company, and less than convenient timing, with two children under 4 to care for - but it had to be done.

A year late Breathe Bea was born, and hearing all the wonderful comments from customers makes me so happy.

I know the struggle of worrying about BO, having to re-apply deodorant, and washing clothes daily. With Bea Fresh those days are gone, I apply once in the morning and I know I'm good to go all day, and all night!

Breathe Bea was launched with three values in mind: quality, simplicity, and nature. Each jar is handmade in small batches using the highest quality natural ingredients. It's effective, affordable, and free from toxins.

I hate the idea that natural products somehow have to be inferior to the mass-produced alternative, as if nature cannot equate to labs. That's why I'm committed to growing Breathe Bea with quality at the forefront of all our products. They will always be 100% natural, nourishing for the body, and actually really work.

As a mother of two young girls, both born naturally out of my faith and love for the natural process, family is at the heart of everything I do. Creating these products is a way I can not only provide the best for them, but also share that same care with you.

As Breathe Bea grows, my outlook is simple: to offer natural products that are genuinely clean, beautifully made, and truly effective.
